Our first stop to beat the cold was Grand Central Terminal. Almost a million people travel through the station every day. It connects subway lines with the Metro-North Railroad to upstate New York and Connecticut. By number of platforms, it is the largest station in the world. Grand Central is much more than just a transit terminal though, it also features shopping, dining, a transit museum, and more indoor activities.
