Summer may be sweltering in New York City, but NYC’s top chefs are not holding back from bringing the heat in the kitchen. The 2013 Summer Edition of NYC Restaurant Week starts today. New Yorkers and visitors can enjoy big discounts at 300 of the city’s top restaurants. This includes historic NYC eateries as well as the kitchens of famed TV chefs.
The Delicious Details
For Summer 2013, NYC Restaurant Week lasts from July 22 to August 16. Restaurants offer a set menu with 3 courses, usually with 2-3 options for each course. Lunch is $25 and dinner is $38. Not all restaurants offer lunch and dinner and some restaurants may not offer the promotion on weekends.
A complete list of all 293 participating restaurants can be found at the official NYC Restaurant Week website, part of NYCGO.com. On the site you can search by neighborhood or cuisine. You can also peruse menus online and make your selection by which entrees sound the most delicious.
Plan a Foodie Festival
Eating your way through Restaurant Week provides a great framework for any NYC trip. Spending the day at the Natural History Museum? Enjoy a Restaurant Week lunch in the area. Taking in a show on Broadway? Restaurant Week dinner is right down the block. Whether exploring historic New York or experiencing the local flavor of NYC neighborhoods, you can build your adventures around Restaurant Week meals throughout the city.
